New York Regulators Release Guidelines For Cannabis RetailersNews – High Times
News – High Times The New York Office of Cannabis Management on Friday released new guidance for retail adult-use cannabis dispensaries, only weeks before the state’s newly legal recreational marijuana market is expected to launch later this year. New York lawmakers legalized cannabis last year with the passage of the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA), with regulated sales of recreational marijuana slated to begin by the end of 2022. Regulators began accepting applications for adult-use cannabis dispensaries this summer with a program that sets aside the state’s initial recreational marijuana retailer licenses for those with past convictions for cannabis-related crimes. The guidelines released last week are designed to help…

He previously received a license to study cannabis back in…

News – High Times After leading a successful legal challenge against a voter-approved recreational pot amendment, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem says she won’t stand in the way the second time around. Voters in the state will decide next week on Initiated Measure 27, a proposal to legalize personal possession of marijuana for adults aged 21 and older. Noem, a Republican who is up for re-election this year, remains opposed to marijuana legalization. But at a campaign town hall in Rapid City on Thursday, the governor said she would uphold the will of voters if they pass Measure 27. “If it passes, it’s going to be implemented. That’s just the…
